The second biggest French AOC vineyard – in both surface area and production

This growing area combines a wide range of terroirs, soils and climates and offers rich wines, primarily red wines. The varietals are Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, the sacred trio of outstanding red wines. The varietals grown for the production of white wines include Grenache blanc, Clairette, Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier.

The wines made in Lirac and Tavel are Crus, and are emblematic of this preserved, discreet area. Vineyards have been cultivated here for over 2000 years, on both sides of the Rhône river. The term "Côtes du Rhône" was born here, on the right bank of the Rhône, in the 17th century.
White wines are characterized by their aromatics and their round, supple structure. Sun-gorged rosés are delicate and ample. The reds are known for their generosity, aromatic nose and palate, and great balance.
